How IVF pregnancy dating works
Unlike traditional pregnancy dating based on the last menstrual period (LMP), IVF provides precise timing. Gestational age is calculated from the exact embryo age and transfer date (for example, transfer date + 266 days for Day 5 transfer, or transfer date + 263 days for Day 3 transfer).
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) accuracy
Because frozen embryo transfer timing is clinically documented to the exact hour, IVF estimated due dates are frequently more exact than natural cycle estimates.
